GETEC Vehicle Engineering: A New Chapter in Real-World Application – Safeguarding Performance in Extreme Cold with Technology

WechatIMG310.jpg

In the field of automotive engineering, GETEC has always been a hands-on expert, accumulating extensive practical experience, particularly in vehicle calibration and benchmarking testing. This time, during winter calibration testing in Heihe, GETEC successfully completed rigorous winter tests on two calibration vehicles, primarily focusing on the optimization of EMS (Engine Management System), TCU (Transmission Control Unit), VCU (Vehicle Control Unit), and BMS (Battery Management System).

Extreme Cold Challenges, Proven in Practice

Amid the frigid conditions of Heihe, with temperatures as low as -30°C, the GETEC team, in collaboration with suppliers, conducted comprehensive calibration and optimization tests on the EMS, TCU, and BMS, while performing meticulous fine-tuning and adaptive improvements on its self-developed VCU. Through real-world testing, we verified the full functionality and reliable stability of these control units under extreme cold conditions.

Performance Tuning, Precision Enhancement
Through precise calibration work, the GETEC team successfully optimized the performance and accuracy of the EMS, TCU, VCU, and BMS in cold environments. Engine startup and precision became more refined, transmission response was more agile and smooth, battery control accuracy and temperature management were more effective, and the overall driving experience was more polished. This means that even in extreme cold, the vehicle's powertrain, transmission, integrated control, and battery management can maintain stable operation and effective coordination, ensuring superior driving quality.

Team Collaboration, Significant Practical Achievements
During this winter calibration test, four specialized teams worked closely together, offering mutual suggestions and improvements, jointly exploring and providing timely and effective optimization directions and solutions. This collaboration actively enhanced drivability and addressed NVH (Noise, Vibration, and Harshness) challenges. Every adjustment made in the field contributed to improved vehicle performance and reflected our commitment to customer satisfaction.

Upon completing the winter calibration, multiple teams from our international client conducted joint test drives and evaluations, offering high praise for the vehicle calibration results and GETEC’s overall engineering service capabilities. The success of the Heihe winter calibration not only serves as another practical validation of our professional expertise but also demonstrates the team’s deep respect for automotive engineering technology. We firmly believe that true knowledge comes from hands-on experience. GETEC will continue to be practice-driven, relentlessly exploring and innovating to deliver more tangible achievements for the automotive industry.
