Battery swapping technology, as a rapid electrification solution, has not only sparked a trend in the passenger vehicle sector but also triggered a "battery swapping wave" in the commercial vehicle sector.
On January 26, GETEC and Anda New Energy Co., Ltd. officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Shenzhen, Guangdong. The agreement aims to jointly promote the battery swapping solution for new energy light trucks, contributing to the development of electrification in new energy commercial vehicles.
Anda New Energy is a mobile industry technology and product equipment application supplier from Macau, with rich experience and customer resources in mobile energy, energy storage, and battery swapping applications. It is committed to providing deep services to the "9+2" city in the Greater Bay Area and "Belt and Road" directions.
Leveraging its long-term accumulation and research in the commercial vehicle sector, GETEC, in collaboration with EAICV, launched a complete set of new energy light truck battery swapping solutions in 2023. Through this strategic cooperation with Anda New Energy, the two parties will complement each other's strengths in battery swapping technology and channel resources through resource integration. They aim to achieve a strong alliance and jointly provide high-quality new energy commercial vehicle solutions for the Greater Bay Area and even the "Belt and Road" initiative.
GETEC's battery swapping solution, driven by technological innovation, aims to promote the electrification of new energy commercial vehicles. Compared to traditional fuel and charging models, it offers advantages such as low cost and high efficiency. Since its release, the battery swapping solution has already formed collaborations with various parties. The eD5 battery swapping light truck, jointly developed and produced with EAICV, has delivered over 600 units to date. The first modular intelligent light truck battery swapping station in Qingxi, Dongguan, has officially commenced operations. On the day of the signing ceremony, Anda New Energy and its partners visited the battery swapping station and witnessed the demonstration of the battery swapping process.
